I love to fish, but above all I am a Husband, Father and loyal friend. Having grown up in a rural Ag town in Central Texas, a passion for the outdoors consumed my mind at a young age and still does to this day! My journey into guiding began in my early teens as a field guide and dog handler for an upland bird hunting outfitter based in the Texas Hill Country. This early experience sparked a lifelong dedication to outdoor adventures and exceptional customer service. After college, I took on a role managing a vast whitetail property in the greater Lockhart, TX area. Living full-time on the property, I cared for a large whitetail herd and oversaw thousands of acres. My role also involved guiding whitetail hunts during an extended MLD season, honing my skills in both wildlife management and personalized client service. Today, I’m proud to share my expertise as a fly fishing guide on the Texas middle coast, based out of Seadrift/Port O’Connor. My approach to fly fishing combines years of guiding experience with a deep understanding of the unique backcountry environments I navigate. Whether you’re looking to chase redfish in remote and shallow back lakes, Jacks in the surf, or gar from the Guadalupe River delta marsh, I’m here to provide an unforgettable experience tailored to your personal fishing goals!

Captain Justin Dudley is a true product of Texas, with a deep love for the land and water that has shaped his career. He began his outdoor journey as a whitetail ranch manager and hunting guide before finding his passion in the flats and backwaters of the Texas coast. Fishing quickly evolved from a hobby into a lifestyle, and today, Captain Justin channels that dedication into guiding anglers on shallow-water adventures through Port O’Connor’s scenic estuaries. His specialty lies in sight casting for Redfish and other inshore species, often using a fly rod in ultra-shallow water. Captain Justin’s patience and deep understanding of fish behavior make him a trusted guide for both seasoned anglers and newcomers alike. He takes pride in sharing his knowledge, offering instruction when needed, and fostering a relaxed, rewarding experience on the water. His trips are just as much about the learning and connection as they are about the catch. What sets Captain Justin apart is his attention to detail and respect for the ecosystem he guides in. Every trip reflects his commitment to conservation and responsible fishing practices. He knows when and where the fish are moving, how the tides affect the flats, and how to read subtle signs that most would miss. With years of experience under his belt, guests know they’re fishing with someone who understands these waters at a level few can match. About The BoatThe boat that makes it all possible is the Maverick 17 HPX-T, a premium skiff built for shallow-water performance and precision. Powered by a Yamaha 70HP engine, it’s fast, smooth, and stealthy—perfect for navigating tight flats and skinny water where the fish like to hide. Built in 2013 and customized for sight casting, this vessel comfortably accommodates two anglers and cruises up to 36 knots, ensuring you get to the best fishing spots quickly and quietly. The layout is clean, functional, and ideal for both fly and light tackle fishing.
